To reduce your risk of getting a UTI, you can:
Drink at least eight glasses of water a day
Wipe from front to back after using the bathroom
Urinate before and after sex
Avoid strong soaps and deodorants
Wear cotton underwear
Take showers instead of baths
Avoid tight pants
Avoid citrus juices, spicy food, and caffeinated drinks
