12 Weeks fetus

At 12 weeks, a fetus measures about 5–6 cm (2–2.5 inches) in length and weighs approximately 14 grams (0.5 ounces).
This stage marks the end of the first trimester, with significant growth and development:
Facial Features: The eyes, now moving closer together, and ears are in their correct positions. The nose and chin become more defined.
Body Growth: Fully formed fingers and toes now have tiny fingernails and toenails.
Internal Organs: The kidneys produce urine, and the liver starts making bile. The intestines move into their proper place.
Movements: The fetus can make small reflexive movements, like swallowing and sucking, although these are not yet felt by the mother.
Heartbeat: The heart, fully developed, beats at 120–160 beats per minute and can often be detected via a Doppler device.
Reproductive Development: External genitalia begin forming, but determining the baby’s sex through ultrasound is still challenging at this stage.
The fetus is growing rapidly and beginning to take on a distinctly human appearance
